Every year the team at World Orphan Fund undertake one of our most esteemed projects spanning across South-East Asia. A week prior to the month of Ramadan, our team travels from Sydney to Cambodia to work with our Cambodian volunteers to package food and household supplies. These packs are distributed across the poorer communities in Cambodia, even reaching the most remote, rural areas. Our Australian and Cambodian team work together to efficiently distribute as many supplies as possible to those who need it most. Thanks to the overwhelming support we have received from donors in recent years, WOF is able to reach out to surrounding countries. Local representatives have distributed food packs across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.

What do food packs contain?
The Food Packs assembled by our team consist of various items in accordance with the necessities and local diet of the country. This includes 35 kg of rice, oil, sugar, salt, tea, condensed milk, canned tuna, toothpaste, tooth brushes and other hygiene supplies.
Slight adjustments are made yearly depending on availability of items, but within WOF requirements of nutritional food in accordance with what the locals normally would consume. The packs are created to last for more than the entire month of Ramadan for a family of four.
How can you help?
You can be part of this generous and rewarding project that has become a significant role of WOF. Donations for food packs can be made in the lead up to Ramadan every year and we accept donations online or in person.
