The World Orphan Fund team goes the extra mile to make sure you gain the most barakah out of your Qurban this year, and more importantly to ensure the community who needs it the most receives the most barakah!
But how do we do this?
Our qurban this year is $160 per share and with that amount our team ensures 5kg is distributed per share. That equates to almost $30 per kilo is given on your behalf.
However, many organisations that provide qurban for around $120 per share will only end up distributing around ½kg-1kg per share. That equates to $120-$240 per kilo given on your behalf. It becomes clear exactly where you can gain the most barakah.
Why can WOF give more?
Simple supply and demand. Every year around qurban time, there is an anticipated supply of animals ready for purchase. The smaller sized animals are obviously cheaper and are bought in bulk very quickly. This leaves an oversupply of the larger animals that are available. Because of this oversupply of the larger animals, their purchase price drops, which allows WOF to buy these larger animals in bulk for a discounted price, resulting in more meat per share for your qurban.
The families that need it the most are families that only have access to fresh meat once a year – during qurban! 5kg of fresh meat will be given to each family and these families will then preserve the meat by using a salt and drying process to ensure they can enjoy the meat for as long as possible.
Donate your Qurban 2021 with World Orphan Fund today to ensure the needy receive it in time for Eid ul Adha! Our volunteer team are already overseas preparing for your qurban!
