Somalia Famine Relief Flotilla 2017

Latest Updates – Millions at Risk of Starvation

[Rich_Web_Video id=”1″]

Millions of people are at risk of starvation in Somalia and East Africa. The most vulnerable are children and with no rain for the past three years – combined with an unstable political situation – the area is approaching catastrophic levels of hunger and death.

In an unprecedented move, World Orphan Fund has teamed up with Turkish Red Crescent to deliver 21,000 TONNES of flour to drought-affected Somalia. World Orphan Fund’s contribution is 3,000 tonnes. Travelling by sea to drought affected Somalia, our ship we deliver container after container of food aid. Your help and donation is urgently needed. For just $540 you can donate 1 TONNE of flour! We aim to do 3,000. With 20 million people at risk of starvation due to the drought, every ounce of food is required to help break the fall into famine.

When famine hit Somalia in 2011, over 250,000 people lost their lives. The majority being children. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN
