Bringing the Community Together – Sick Children Toy Drive

The children as well as their parents were left with nothing but smiles of gratitude upon seeing our team distribute the gift packs one by one to their beloved. The smiles of children will always be the light in our eyes.

After the beautiful success that was Sydney Children’s hospital toy drive, the team in Cambodia paid a visit to Cambodia’s National Pediatric hospital to replicate the happiness shared in Australia.

However this project was special. Our aim of cultural harmony and unity for the sake of our children was attained by the attendance of a representative of the buddhist community, a major religious sector in Cambodia, as well as a representative of the Turkish embassy.

The packs which were distributed were classified into the children’s respective gender and age groups, coupled with nappies and condensed milk packs, the children as well as their parents were left with nothing but smiles of gratitude upon seeing our team distribute the gift packs one by one to their beloved. When your child is in a hospital bed, you would do anything to ease their pain and see their smiles. This is why World Orphan fund went down that day and distributed toy and condensed milk packs to close to 200 children.

A special thanks goes to the director of the National Pediatric Hospital, members of the Cambodian attorney generals office, as well as the Cambodian accounting club who supported us in this campaign.

This would not have been possible without our family and friends support back home. The love that came with your donations for the kids came flooding through and World Orphan Fund is grateful for your constant help and support.
